WD-40 teamed up with Xtreme to build the ultimate construction truck that will go on their “Last Straw Tour” to help promote their new spray nozzle design. During the tour, the truck will hit numerous Rebuilding Together sites to rehabilitate the homes of low-income homeowners.

To get the full effect of what this non-profit organization does we put our building skills to work on a home in East Nashville. While Ian helped install a new roof, I assisted in a complete remodel of the living room; from a fresh coat of paint to a modern Pergo wood floor. Other volunteers contributed their lending hands in a new wheelchair ramp, landscaping, kitchen wiring, and various odds and ends. The Veteran family was so deserving for the upgrades and welcomed us with open hearts.

I cannot tell you how helping someone make their home a healthier living situation gives such a rewarding aspect to ones attitude toward life. It is definitely something everyone should sign up for at least once.
