Andes Calling
Andes Calling
2008
Up until about four months ago I didn’t even know what Aconcagua was. Well, last month I sure learned a bit about it as I kicked, crawled and suffered to it’s lofty summit.
For many years now I have dreamt of climbing in the Andes but never had any expectations of climbing its highest peak which is Cerro Aconcagua (22,831ft). I was always more interested in heading a little further south to Patagonia to climb some lean spire jutting out of a blue glacier. Nonetheless, I’m very thankful for the opportunity to go on such an adventure in such a sweet part of the world.
Thanks to team Loki, I was able to take part in a full on expedition (with mules and all) up the highest mountain outside of Asia. This experience left me with new friendships, fun trekking and a greater praise towards our Maker for His creation.
In my endless pursuit to be somewhere outside climbing I’m always glad to share summits, thoughts and pictures with you all, even if it’s just through the World Wide Web.
This site is dedicated to all my friends and family. Enjoy!
