Open air video screening in Cologne

The Lowdown:

Commissioned work for Halden Prison, Souht-East Norway, made in collaboration with Jon Arne Mogstad. Two walls, 30 x 2.5 metres made of galvanised steel plates treated with automotive lacquers and silkscreen printing. Financed by KORO (Public Art Norway). Artistic Consultants: Hilde Hauan Johnsen and Marte Aas. Due for completion / public opening March 2010. Images on left from installing, June 2009. Above: silk-screen printed images, white on grey and blue lacquered steel plates. Below: airbrushed images using “Candy” automotive lacquers, finished with high-gloss transparent lacquer.

Coming Up:

A new commissioned work in collaboration with Jon Arne Mogstad to be made for the Norwegian Post Office’s new distribution centre in Lørenskog. The work will cover two walls in the 35,000 sq. m. production hall of the building. The materials used will be spray/lacquered aluminium, white noen and slikscreened images on clear plexiglass. The project is due for completion in January 2010.
