The weather was better today and we passed through some really varied scenery. In the morning we were in lush countryside, initially following the Gorges de Ribaouto and the river Arac. On this stretch we passed the 16000m climbed mark. After the Col de Port we passed into some amazing scenery - following the Route les Cirques and for the first time seeing the influences of Mediterranean weather with parched south-facing slopes.
