7pm    Meet and Greet

Get to know the quintet as they greet you in the lobby before the performance.  Before settling in, enjoy some refreshments, too!


7:30pm        A Musical Kaleidoscope

Take a musical tour through the past, present, and future of Quintet Attacca with works by Paul Hindemith, Carl Schimmel, Osvaldo Lacerda, and John Harbison.  The members of QA will comment on each piece’s significance to the group and let you in on some group secrets!  For a preview of the program, click here for program notes.

Q&A Interactive Intermission    At the mid-point of the concert, it’s your turn! Quintet Attacca will be ready for all of your questions, whether it be about the name of the group, what it takes to survive as a musician, or what their favorite place to play is!  Take a break if you need to, but don’t miss your opportunity to ask your most burning question.


9:15pm    An Encore with Wine and Cake

You’ve heard their music.  You’ve heard their answers to your questions.  Now enjoy a celebration of two successful years as the Chicago Chamber Musicians’ Professional Development Ensemble and the first year of Quintet Attacca’s residency at the Music Institute of Chicago!
