Jen Bloom has twelve years of studio, hospital and classroom teaching experience in yoga, meditation, creative movement, and theater.   When she was diagnosed with cancer four years ago at the age of 28, Jen used her yoga practice in combination with Western medicine and other alternative healing techniques to achieve remission in six months.

As a teacher and healer, Jen combines yoga, massage, reiki, and vocal work.  Every student requires a different set of healing techniques to open the energetic, emotional or physical blocks that hold back true expression.  Jen is the Creative Director of Yoga Blooms, a multi-media yoga company devoted to making yoga accessible to anyone, anywhere, and at anytime.   Jen's critically acclaimed first CD, Yoga in the Car with Jen Swain:  Bumper to Bumper, has helped drivers all across America relieve muscular and emotional stress while sitting in traffic. The much anticipated Yoga on the Plane: Om the Sky will be released this fall.

Currently, Jen teaches at Yoga Groove, a funky little studio in North Hollywood, CA, and works with Yoga Buddies, a company bringing yoga to after school programs throughout Los Angeles.  She also teaches teambuilding and leadership for different ropes and challenge courses. She is regularly invited to teach hybrid workshops on theatre, yoga, cancer, communication, stress and healing at schools, retreats and studios to all ages.

Jen was certified to teach yoga at the Nosara Yoga Institute of Costa Rica and has an MFA from Trinity Repertory Theater in Directing and Acting.  She teaches and practices always with a sense of awe, and a sense of humor.  Much love, blessings, and peace to all!
