I had been teaching studio yoga for about five years when I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. This was four years ago. My yoga practice literally saved my life. When I came back to teaching, I wanted to share the simple but powerful gifts of yoga with a wider audience. I took a break from studio teaching, and searched for a way for everyone to not only hear about yoga, but to give it a try.
I have an MFA in Directing for the theatre from Trinity Repertory Conservatory, and am a Registered Yoga Teacher, certified at the Nosara Institute in Costa Rica. I’ve been using the combined practices of both yoga and theatre as teaching, healing and storytelling tools for 12 years. I believe that in order for people to connect with something, like a yoga or healing practice, it must be presented in a fun, safe and inspiring way.
America is a media and technology savvy country, so it seems logical to me to embrace both as a way to get the message of yoga out to the public. Americans are also stressed, and over scheduled. If I’m going to get the non-believers to try it, or wanting-to-believe-but-hestitant to try it, it has to be in a unique format.
In November 2006, I designed my first non-traditional yoga series as a CD, Yoga in the Car, safe and simple exercises for drivers to do while stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic. Throughout 2007, Yoga Blooms (then as Om the Road, LLC) produced live music events, workshops and short commercials blending yoga, live music, and technology.
Now, Yogablooms has arrived. I combined my private practice, formerly North Hollywood Yoga, and Om the Road into one company. And, in honor of my recent engagement to Eric, my business and life partner, both me and my company took on a new name!
Yogablooms creates multi-media yoga products and services: CD’s, DVD’s, software, classes, corporate and workplace seminars, rock concerts, fundraisers and other public events to make yoga accessible to everyone.
At my private practice, you can find the peace, healing and inspiration you deserve.
Thanks for being exactly you! Blessings on your life, big hugs, and namaste.

“After seven years of teaching yoga in studios and classrooms, I grew tired of preaching to the choir. I wanted to create a yoga practices that everyone could use, and find the time for... Americans are stressed and taking it out on each other. A calm, beautiful and full life is well within everybody's reach. Everyone knows about yoga, and I want ot find a way for everyone to try it. Yoga is a path towards health and healing so obvious that it's easy to miss.”
