Audio: Tunes from the Void

strokestrokestrokestroke
This is a tune I wrote about being in love.  Mostly it’s piano; no lyrics for now, for which you should all be grateful.  Still, this one has a joyful spirit. On a good day,  I do too.
What is this Thing Called Love?

Mice Like Cheese
This is a song about how we most desire the things that get us struck in traps.  No lyrics for now, just piano.
The Walking Dead
I wrote this one a long time ago.  I think in my heart it was about being stuck, about how I thought I’d have to live my life without ever quite being myself.  The chorus is, “We are the walking dead, daddio; didn’t you hear what that big man said?”    As a public service I have spared us all from the spectacle of my singing voice.

On this page please find a few tunes I’ve cobbled together using my piano and a home studio.  You can hear the songs by clicking the play button beneath these lovely photographs.   I have always felt that music was not far from whatever I was doing as a writer, although these tunes may make the casual listener grateful that I kept my day job.  In any case, these are offered for your pleasure, and with my best wishes.  All these songs are copyright © Mean Streak Music, and shouldn’t be broadcast without my permission. But you can do what you want with them; it’s nice for me to know these songs are out there.  As if the world could go on without me, and it would be just fine.
The photos at the bottom of the page I took in my backyard here in Maine; the lighthouse I found somewhere on the web.
