Hi!  hubby made me this tin, decorative mirror in occupational therapy.  He cut out each of the flowers and leaves, colored them, punched them with tin, attached them to a round mirror, and put a hanger on the back.  He wants me to hang it in my classroom.

He is doing well.  I just keep holding my breath and knocking on wood that his infection doesn’t return for the 4th time.  It is a stubborn one and he just finished his antibiotics a few days ago.  I’ve been trying to fatten him up, give him vitamins, and I am giving him Florastor.  The rehab center suggested I bring in health shakes for him to drink in the mid-morning each day in order to build up his resistance.

He continues to confabulate his memories.  He really can’t help it.  If you want to read about it, here is a good link: CONFABULATION.  He is not nearly as bad as these examples (or at least he hasn’t been for a long time).  Although I do find the example about the man who confabulated a story about being invited into a cockpit and allowed to fly the plane a bit eerie.  Hubby has a story almost exactly like it.

But the good thing is that his confabulating is improving.  There are a few little stories that he is hanging on to.  And sometimes he derails and he wonders where his mother went to, even though she lives 2 hours away.

His therapists are very proud of him and say he is making “terrific” progress.  I am excited.
