Garden State -- 2007
NEWS from Garden State CDE (5/4/07): After the dressage phase, Declaration was in a dead heat with three other front-runners in his division. The hazards were particularly problematic and, given Sparky’s relative youth and a first-time navigator on the team, Kate Shields did not push things during the marathon. (Hmmm -- Pictures below to the contrary?) According to Kate, Sparky did “really well” in the marathon and cones sections to come in third overall in his division (as well as the highest placed Morgan). The differences in placings among the top three were very small.; Kate said with just a bit more push, they could have come out on top! (Photos by Pics of You)
