CONGREGATION B’NAI ISRAEL

EST. 1879

Columbus, Mississippi

Welcome to Congregation B'nai Israel. We are a small
congregation with a long history. We are affiliated with
The Union for Reform Judaism. However,
like many small congregations, our members come from a
variety of backgrounds and we strive to make everyone
feel at home. We hope that you will find in us your
Jewish home and join our congregation. We serve the
Golden Triangle of Mississippi--Starkville, Aberdeen,
West Point, and Columbus--as well as Western Alabama.
Let us know what your Jewish family can do to help you feel more at home.

“...a  Sunday school has been organized and is doing famously.  There are but few children of suitable age to attend school, nevertheless, the interest of these few has been aroused, and we look forward with light hearts, confident that at least one step has been made in the right direction.”

--April 14, 1877 Letter to the Editor of the American Israelite by charter member of B’Nai Israel.
