Again a very long time without a post from me but I've got news! I'm starting a new page soon (I'm almost finished with the design, so I'll be launching it soon). Right now I am using iWeb and while it's great as a starting plattform, it has become way too restrictive for me, so I'll be moving to RapidWeaver, which is way more versatile.
The RSS address will stay the same - at least the feedburner one will stay the same, so be sure that you are described to that to make the move with me! Here it is again:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/ChangingPerspectives
Unfortunately I won't be able to move my old blog posts to the new forum (at least any other way than copy & paste), so I'll be starting fresh over there and keep the old site online for a while.
Hope to see you soon on the new site! (I'll add the address of the new site when I am finished with it).

I really appreciate it!

Due to my life being pretty hectic right now, I still haven’t been able to update the blog as often as I would like but at least I have been able to go out to photograph several times in the last few days. Since I don’t want to bore you with ten blog entries of just pictures I have uploaded them to my Flickr account. I hope you’ll take a look at them and feel free to add me as a friend if you wan to :)
Because of that all flowers died. Luckily I was able to get some pretty good pictures of them before that happened but the weather is seriously depressing. But to counteract that depression I’m probably going to the botanic garden in Frankfurt tomorrow afternoon to shoot some flowers *yay*

It’s a pretty cool feeling to see one of your own pictures in a magazine - let me tell you that! Even if it is not one of my creative shots but one that was ment for publicity, the feeling stays the same.
It was published alongside a short article about our website Bazaaria.com in a reginal edition of the magazine for the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (for my German readers: im IHK Magazin für Gießen).
Hopefully it will be the first of a lot of times that my pictures will be published :D

And next week, it’s supposed to be snowing - we only had snow like one time this winter and I was kidding around since October or so that it’ll be snowing on Easter...It seems like I might be right about that - even though I would like it better if I weren’t.
I have a lot to fo for college right now, so I haven’t been out shooting as often as I would like. In fact I haven’t been out shooting in over two weeks. That’s also why I haven’t been posting as often as I would like to post. But I hope that I’ll be able to do more of both beginning some time in April.

I notoriously leave my exposure compensation at the setting I was last shooting (why this setting gets preserved through turning off the camera is anybodies guess). The pic above is one of several pictures in which this happened to me once again...
I had turned the exposure compensation up for the portrait shoot and when I first saw the shots on the preview screen I thought it was caused by some wrong settings of my external flash (I still haven’t mastered the use of it). This lasted till I remembered the exposure setting (a true D’oh moment) and turned it back down to 0.
But I still like the shot, because it has a certain artistic appeal - not your usual macro shot. Sometimes it are the accidens that give you the best results or that give you a result you would have never expected.
