Visit to the Zoo
Visit to the Zoo
30.12.2007
I’m enjoying my Christmas break right now and today I went to the zoo in Frankfurt. It’s not the biggest zoo around (it’s in the middle of downtown Frankfurt) and they haven’t fully modernized it yet, so some of the animals still live in very small quarters but I still like going there.
It was my first real try with my 40 D and it’s a real joy to work with that camera. But I still have some trouble finding certain settings (like going to multi-shot or changing the WhiteBalance).
What I really like is the feature that the 40 D automatically sets the ISO value. I’m not to good at doing that and I always forget to change it back when I’m shooting at 800 or so, which has made a lot of my pictures worse than they could have been.
Anyways, todays pictures were either made with my Sigma 28-300mm lens or my Canon 100mm Macro lens (all pictures of reptiles and fish were shot with the Macro). It was the first time that I took my Macro along to the zoo and it was really great for the aquarium and the repltiles.
As always, I have way to many pictures... so I made a photo album in my gallery. You can check it out by clicking here. And feel free to let me know what you think about them :) Each photo can be commented.
