Working hard for Hackney, Islington and Waltham Forest

Welcome to my website

I hope you will find my website useful in finding out more about me and the work I am doing for North East London on the London Assembly.

Thank you to all those who supported me in the 1st May elections. I will try to represent everyone in North East London and continue to work across Hackney, Islington and Waltham Forest on the issues that matter to local people where the GLA can make a difference. These include affordable housing, transport, community safety, the Olympic legacy and Young People. I will press our case with the new administration and you can be assured that I will seek every opportunity to hold the new Mayor to account across the full range of his responsibilities as I did with the previous Mayor.

The new structures and allocations of responsibility were decided at the Annual General Meeting of the Assembly on Friday 9th May 2008 and you can find a full details of the outcome at http://www.london.gov.uk

I am delighted to have been elected as Chair of the Assembly for the next year and look forward to working with Darren Johnson AM (London-wide Assembly Member for the Green Party) who was elected as Vice-Chair.

My website will include other updates on my work and I will continue to provide a hard copy through my usual newsletters.

I look forward very much to working for you over the next 4 years.

Best wishes
