The following are pictures from my trip to the rural communities in the state of Oaxaca.  We went to observe IMIFAP’s micro-enterprise programs, and to conduct some interviews for the book.  For more about IMIFAP’s micro-enterprise programs throughout Mexico please visit the micro-enterprise section of IMIFAP’s website.  The following pictures include portraits of the women we interviewed, some of the micro-enterprises (i.e., bakeries, mat-weaving, basket weaving, convenience stores), and photos of some of the community bank groups.  These pictures include about 5 different communities in the Mixteca region of Oaxaca.
