welcome to the marina district

Click here to take a photo tour of the Marina District

The Marina District was formally composed of warehouses and vacant lots.  Now it is considered by many to be the best residential district in which to live.  The picture above was taken high up in The Pinnacle Museum Tower looking towards the San Diego Bay and the Marriott Hotel and Marina.

The area stretches between the waterfront, Horton Plaza, and downtown’s office towers.  Features include Pantoja Park, Children’s Park, Martin Luther King Jr. Promenade, and the Marina.  Also located in the Marina District are the Chinese Mission Museum, the new Children’s Museum, and the Asian/Pacific Thematic District.
