A bit dramatic but it got your attention, didn’t it? Woe is me, I am almost out of my balsamic glaze from Trader Joe’s AND if that isn’t bad enough, they have stopped carrying it! ACK!!!!!!!!!!!!! This stuff is my lifeline, in fact if I could replace the blood pumping through my veins with my balsamic glaze, I know I would be a better person. Why do stores stop producing such awesome products? Is it to make me finally have a blood pressure that registers higher than my smug low, that drives Soren insane because it never changes a blip? Cause taking away my favorite product just might elevate the pressure.
Seriously, I use this stuff almost every night. In case you don’t know about it, here is the scoop, you can drizzle it on salads, fruit (strawberries and grilled peaches, YUM!), marinades, grilled chicken, steak, even fish, I AM SERIOUS IT IS A STAPLE IN ANY HOUSEHOLD.
The point of all of this is, a plea to my friends back east to check their local Trader Joe’s to see if maybe, (pleeeeeeeeeze) they still carry it and have decided not to screw with their customers blood pressure or psyche. If you spot this little gem, buy it, buy all of it and I will reward you handsomely.
Ruth gave it a great shot by finding out from the Danville TJ’s that Andronico’s carries it. So I trucked out to Andronico’s, found a balsamic glaze (at 3 x the price), eagerly transported it home and....... it’s not even close. Oh I’ll still use it, but it’s too tangy, has the wrong sweetness to it, *sigh* it just isn’t the same.
So if you find it, not only will you be rewarded sainthood, I’ll knight you and make you something yummie with this special, insanely awesome glaze.
