Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am officially employed. In fact, I have been since the first of the month. And so far, it’s a sweet gig; my boss is cool, the commute is under 30 minutes and we are quite happy with the entire package. This might be old news for some but I didn’t announce it right away to everyone because I’m a tad superstitious. In fact, I never bring any pictures or personal items into a job until I’ve been there a month. That’s just me being paranoid but May starts on Friday so the slinky, my piece of malachite to spin while I am on hold and a couple of obligatory Soren/Bear pics will be on display as of Friday morning.
It’s nice to wake up and have the routine back, chat with co-workers, and attend a meeting with smart dialog. It sucks getting up at 5:15 to go to the gym before work, rush home after work and have to stop at the grocery store because you forgot you were out of milk, but hey it’s a balance, right? As my neighbor Jen told me on the day I received and accepted the offer, “You actually have given me hope that the economy is turning around!” That’s right Jen, from here on out, it’s lei’s, mai tai’s and health insurance coverage, yahoo!
;-)
