Many airports have restaurants right on the field which make it easy to take a friends and family up for a flight to see the Oregon scenery followed by dinner or lunch.  If you enjoy camping there are some great airports that offer camping right on the airfield.  One of the best camping airports that I know of is about 25-30 minutes away at the beach at Manzanita.  Flying out to Sunriver, Oregon offers a great view of the Cascade Mountain range.  Chinese food in Albany?  A flight over downtown Portland as the sun sets?  Seattle for the weekend to catch a Mariners game?  Flying will open up doors to places you never considered before you had your license.  As your skill and knowledge expands, the ideas become limited by your creativity.
