Here, Kitty, Kitty, Kitty

We just got scared out of our skivvies!  I heard running outside and ran to the bedroom window.  That's when I saw Luhende (our night guard this week) running from the building out back towards the back yard. Next, his flash light was swinging around and he was obviously fighting.  We could hear him go "Ugh!" and Diana called his name with no answer.  I started to call the police when he came up to the house to explain.  He saw Lobo take off in the backyard and he went to see what it was.  That's when he saw a cat...A CAT...and he started trying to kill the cat. He came over to ask us if it was okay for Lobo to kill the cat the rest of the way.  He returned only to tell us that Lobo had refused to kill it.  So as I am writing this there is a dying kitty in the back yard, two scared little boys lying in their beds, a not-completely-convinced-it-was-just-a-cat private investigator peering out the windows, and a slightly dazed and confused 35-year-old who had to check his britches!

Luhende came to the front window to apologize.  He apologized for going after the cat without telling me at first.  He said when he saw the cat he was afraid it would scratch out Lobo's eyes and then tomorrow morning I would see Lobo's eyes scratched out and ask, "Why are Lobo's eyes scratched out?"  That's why he went ahead and beat it.  Why did he leave it?  Not sure, but I am glad it was just a cat!

By the way, it’s not true...cats don’t have nine lives (unless of course this was his ninth!)
