I've always been fascinated by color, shape and craftsmanship--the textures, technique, and hands-on care that can be seen in art. But what really interests me is connecting the painting to its viewer. It's not only about design and color, or the representation of an object, but about developing an interaction between a painting and the person looking at it. The character and feeling that a piece conveys is important to me because it sparks the relationship between art and life. I want to give people something not only to look at, but to live with and be a part of.
