I’m glad I started packing up some of my things. I went to  the real-estate office on the first floor of my workplace this morning and found I will be moving tomorrow. I called up a moving company to come over tomorrow and help me pack, load, and transport all of my things, which I suspect will be no easy task. Of course, moving rarely is. I have to pay about $270 to the movers, $250 for the real estate fee, my new rent is due tomorrow ($400) and I also have to provide about $5,000 for the deposit on my place. I have $4,000 tied up in the place I’m moving from and because the landlady went off on vacation for some undisclosed amount of time I am not sure when I can get that back from her. I’m sure it won’t be more than a week, though, and I don’t foresee it being a problem. I told the real-estate agent about that problem and she said that I would be able to pay $3,000 to her tomorrow and get the rest when my landlady returns from vacation.

    Money matters aside I am looking forward to moving in and must admit I am happy to get it over with so quickly. The semester at my school ends on Monday and I will have a nice three day vacation with which to really settle in and get the feel for my new place.
