...is finished.

Mike came up from Daegu on Saturday morning and we met for lunch with Simon (Mike’s friend from NZ who has also been here ten years). While he was visiting we were able to get the holes drilled on the wooden panel and then painted over, varnished, and mounted on the steel braces. With this painting finished I can finally move on to other little projects I’ve been  kicking around in my head. I still have to complete that one for Vaughan, and I started another little painting on the computer which I printed off, applied matte medium to, and then adhered it to the surface of a piece of wood, on top of which I will do more painting with actual pigment, rather than digital.
In other news spring has practically arrived, if not officially. The yellow dust from China carried by the wind arrived yesterday with a vengeance following it’s long winter absence. I didn’t go out yesterday, but looking out the window and listening to the news certainly was enough incentive for me to stay in; the skyline looked like a moderately foggy day, but that was all dust.
