I can’t seem to recall how Koreans celebrate their independence day, but to be honest I have always been pretty oblivious to holidays, especially in Korea. I have always been more interested in what to do with the free time that holiday affords me. In this case it involves putting the finishing touches on settling in by arranging this area, tweaking that area, purchasing necessary items for the apt, etc. In addition I have almost finished the second painting for Mike (big naked lady in the center of the picture above) before he moves, which is Friday, I think. I can’t believe he’s going to be gone; he’s been such a good friend and his company will be sorely missed. Luckily he will be moving only a few hours away, so he’s not really THAT far away; just far enough to make a casual stop by his place impossible.
I will spend today working on some photo collages, painting, music, and wine. The weather is beautiful and the day has just begun. I hope everyone has a great day.
