After four years I have finally been able to acquire my medication. I received a six month supply at a pharmacy in Seoul following a quick trip to the international hospital there. I was terrified that the medicine would be so expensive, as it is in the States. Without insurance a month’s supply of the stuff is pretty expensive. With insurance here I was able to get a six month supply for a third of the price of what a month’s is sold for back home. The price without insurance for the six month supply is still less than what a month’s supply sells for, though. How is that possible? Say what you will about Korea, but in my experiences so far here they have an excellent medical system. Almost everything is so cheap and accessible.
