Friday I met with some of the teachers from school for dinner and drinks in Sanbon. The new teachers seem like a pretty likable group. I spent most of Saturday sleeping and later went to the Home Plus in Ansan for some grocery shopping, as provisions have been running dangerously low. I think I ordered pizza a few too many times last week. I think I may have caught a little cold of some type, as I have had a runny nose and scratchy throat since yesterday. The photograph above is of one of the books I will be studying for my “Aesthetic Medium” class (that is a literal translation). I am not exactly sure the total contents of this course’s curriculum, but if this book is any indication it will be all theoretical. In fact, I asked on the first day of class if we were going to be doing any kind of actual art projects, to which I received a negative response. How dreadfully boring. Nevertheless, this will provide me the continued opportunity to improve my Korean ability in the academic area (i.e. reading and listening).
