Music News: The Decemberists are playing a limited number of US dates in July, including a stop at Merriweather Post Pavilion 07.14.07. Tickets available here. Among the many bands reuniting this year, Squeeze will be playing a short US tour in support of the rerelease of some of their classic albums. The US tour includes a stop at Wolf Trap 08.09.07. February Fun - New York and Los Angeles:
Steph and I traveled to New York to celebrate Valentine’s Day and to watch the Arcade Fire in concert.  Then we were off to L.A. for the long weekend.  See the pictures.
 
My Parents’ 40th Wedding Anniversary:

A slice of life from Washington, DC DCPop - Back from Hiatus!
As you may have noticed, I have not updated the site for a while...that is until now!  I apologize for my unexpected hiatus.  I could blame recent personal upheavals, but I’ll chalk it up to the lure of being away from my computer during these hot and humid summer months in DC.  There is plenty of content to come, including a belated review of the Sasquatch Festival at the gorgeous Gorge in Washington state.  And I’ll be posting my review of Morrissey in concert at the NorVa in Norfolk, VA, and I promise no pictures of the former Smiths front-man without a shirt (yikes).  In the meantime, I know many of you check my site for tips on hot tickets to upcoming shows, so until I add the content, here’s a tip for you:
The Cure - New Album and Tour
The Cure are putting final touches on their 13th studio album, and they are planning a fall tour as well.  Robert Smith and co. will be playing the Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA on Wednesday, Sept. 19.  A presale for this show will take place on July 12 at 10AM.  Register at the band website to make sure to receive the password for the presale!
