1. Anatomy Studies for Yoga Teachers
    w/Jason R. Brown (E-RYT500, LMT)

Anatomy Studies for Yoga Teachers (ASFYT) was created by Jason R. Brown (E-RYT500, LMT) to offer yoga teachers, personal trainers and other movement professionals the opportunity to receive an in-depth education in musculo-skeletal anatomy and the study of human movement, in general but also particularly as it applies to the practice of yoga asana.  It is a further goal of ASFYT to help raise the bar for yoga teacher education in the areas of anatomy study and injury prevention, and to better qualify yoga teachers to serve the populations that they work with in a safe and effective way.

The curriculum offered by ASFYT is broken down into three modules, which collectively provide  over 100 hours of instruction in musculo-skeletal anatomy, injury awareness and prevention, and the anatomy of yoga asana.  The three modules are:

  1. The Skeletal System & Injury Prevention (36 hours)

  2. The Muscular System (30 hours)

  3. The Anatomy of Yoga Asana (36 hours)
