My Life
Check this out! My friend Mark put on a show called The First Annual Doug Esse Banjo Cacophany on April 29, 2008. It was great. Click on the link and scroll down for a very touching story about the creation of The Cacophany and the power of music in our lives.
In addition to some wonderful pickers, I was honored to be asked to play something. This recording is the public premiere of the banjo that Dad and I built. (More on that here.) Sorry about all the talking at the beginning, but of all things the bridge had fallen out on the bike ride over to the bar, and it took forever to get tuned up.
