First Game Day

We were up early this morning and ate a delicious breakfast at Breakwater Lodge.
After checking out of the hotel we gathered our mach kit and went to Cape Town Aquarium. We saw lots of rare fish, including sharks. We then explored the waterfront shopping centre. Many people bought Orlando Pirates shirts and hats ready for the upcoming game against Tottenham.
We then ate a large lunch at Quay 4 and prepared ourselves for the game. This included getting fluids down to keep us nice and hydrated. We then made our way back to the hotel and collected our bags and made the small journey to our match at Camps Bay. By this time, what had started off to be a reasonably sunny day had turned into pouring rain much like home! The match went well with a 3-0 victory with goals from Marcus Mealing, Andy Perring and Scott Pulley. (read full match report)
After the game, we were all invited into the school where we were able to have a hot shower and a nice barbeque. While eating, we also talked to the students, staff and families of Camps Bay and met our billets for the night.

After our meal, we left with our hosts to their homes. Most people were in groups of 2s or 3s. But the opinion was that everybody enjoyed it and were grateful for the humbleness of the billets.

During the evening, most of the boys were invited out and met up with others at some of the local restaurants.
