Match Day and BBQ
We started our day off with breakfast and afterwards headed out to Sport Club Internacional for this morning’s fixture. The football team competed brilliantly against the Under 20’s Inter team who consisted of a few players who will play in the forthcoming State Championship final.
Although defeated, the performance was the best we feel the team has played
After the football game, the rugby team had a fixture against Charrau 1st team.
Again, the squad put in a superb performance and defeated a very strong opposition.
Next we were invited by the Charrau rugby to team to a BBQ. We had a fantastic time and had a chance to experience the rugby traditions, matched by Frost, Jules and Wilks chants.
To finish what has been thought of as the best day on tour so far, the team was invited to an Internacional 1st team game, which was great fun to watch, even though it ended 0-0.
The highlight of the day was Luke ‘Casanova’ Hill getting to know the Brazilian female culture.
