2nd AA Rosette
Our second AA rosette award plate was delivered on 1st October.
Rosettes are awarded annually only after thorough inspection by the AA, and are can be seen as the first step towards gaining a Michelin star. Congratulations again to Miguel Jessen for creating our menu, well done team for the service you offer, and thank you to all our guests who have supported us so far!

Observer Food Monthly ‘Best Place to drink in the UK’
Now in the fourth year of these prestigious food lovers awards, previous winners include Heston Blumenthal's Sunday lunch, a remote restaurant on Skye and a vegetarian haven in Brighton
This year the judges, including food writer Joanna Blythman, cookery expert Nigel Slater, Michelin-starred chefs Ruth Rogers and Giorgio Locatelli, Observer restaurant critic Jay Rayner, OFM editor Nicola Jeal and deputy editor Caroline Boucher along with chef Tom Conran selected Pintxo People as Best Place to Drink winner from an extremely high standard short list, voted for by 1000’s of fans.
In a highly competitive category that included favourite local boozer’s, beautiful country pubs, and stylish bars with the best mojitos, Pintxo People was selected as winner of the drinks category. A testament to all the hard work the bar team put into delivering truly exceptional drinks, consistently, to every guest that enjoys our bar and restaurant. The national prize for ‘Best New Bar’ 2006 was awarded by Class Magazine, the magazine of bar culture, judged by a panel of over 20 industry experts. Paul Wootton, editor of Class magazine, said, "Pintxo People stands out in all the important areas. The drinks and glassware are exquisite, the food Is a culinary adventure and the service is truly exceptional”

Restaurant Critic Awards
We were also honored with a ‘Terry’ award from Restaurant reviewer of the year Terry Durack for ‘Unforgettable Dish of the Year’ for Miguel Jessen’s ‘Foie gras, coffee and mango creation, PLUS ‘Best Tapas and Cocktails’ venue was awarded to Pintxo in the ‘Restaurants of the Year’ article, by The Independent’s John Walsh, who when mentioning Miguel says: ‘I'm quite serious when I say his Pintxo dishes could give Gordon Ramsay's Maze a run for its money’.

Winner, Brightons ‘Battle of the Bars 2006’ premier cocktail bar competition
Tobias Blazquez-Garcia, our Spanish born cocktail supremo won his place in the final after triumphantly competing in the first heat and went head-to-head with mixologists Ben from Blanch House, Symeon from Black & White Bar at Alias Seattle Hotel and Baca from Karma. Tobias walked away with the coveted title of Best Cocktail Bartender in Brighton. Come and try his new winter drink selection in both the cocktail bar AND the ground floor Pintxo bar.
