We were riveted by Swan’s oration and decided to contribute a poem each. Here’s our lunch break spontaneous happening entitled Snacks off the Floor.

But as far as I know he’s harmless, just has a different way of expressing himself in this crazy, mixed up world. He’s generous and a big train aficionado to boot. These vids capture Woody doing some strange kind of spontaneous pantomime routine.

Swan aka John Ratliff aka the Birdman aka the Messiah, Mahareeshe and Big Owner, is a local fixture in the Mission District, SF. Just about everyday since 1986 he’s written and handed out his rag trying to save the world with Just Punch-In Taxes, the Little Dreamproof of the Soul, CAW or Creatures and Weed and many more concepts. “Right of Nazi, left of Commie,” Swan is one of the last true street poets of our times and I, as one of his disciples, find myself parroting his theories all the time. This encore Rabbles Roundtable video was made in 06’. Our hero and birdfeeding revolutionary Swan discusses many of his concepts, philosophies, ideas and theories.
