12/7/08 Maizie had her 18 month visit with Dr. Newell recently. She weighed 23 pounds and was 30 & 3/4 inches. She showed off some of her yoga poses to the doctor as well. New Maizie photos and podcast.
3/6/08 Maizie had her 9 month checkup today. She now weighs 18 pounds 7 ounces and is 26.5 inches. She got her bottom front teeth in and started crawling in the last week. She can say Mama, Dada and Baby so far.

12/07/07: Maizie had her six month check up with the doctor yesterday. She now weighs 15.7 pounds and is 25 inches long. She’s sitting up by herself, eating food, is beginning teething and can clap her hands.
10/28/07: Sure the Boston Red Sox had a good team and all, but could they have won it all without a little luck from Maizie Jade being born in SF?
10/1/07: Maizie turned 4 months old today. She was brave for her latest immunization shots and didn’t cry until the 3rd one. She weighed in at 13 pounds 3 ounces and is now 23.5 inches long. Maizie’s had a string of guests in August and September including Aunt Kathy & Kim, Cousin Emily, Nana & Papa Jack, Uncle Jarrett and many other local characters.
8/17/07: At her two month checkup on August 2nd, Maizie was up to 10 pounds 6 ounces and was 22 inches long. Also, Maizie had her weekend getaway vacation at the beach in Aptos, CA. Thanks to Bob, Pam, Uncle Jarrett, Debbie, the kids and her first dog friend Shaq.
7/24/07: Six Week Checkup: Maizie recieved an A+ from Dr. Newell last week. She weighed in at nine pounds seven ounces. Yay Maizie, keep up the good work (nice going Mommy, too).

6/19/07 Two Week Checkup:Maizie had her two week checkup today weighing in at 7lbs 4ounces. That’s 1.4ozs heavier than her birthweight. She grewfrom her birth length of 19 to 20 inches. So yeah Maizie!, keep up the good latch.
6/4/07 Maizie comes home from the hospital: Baby Maizie was born on June 1st, 2007 in San Francisco’s Kaiser Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds 3 ounces and is a happy healthy and very sweet baby. She arrived home on June 4th. She was breech and delivered C-section. Momma Marina amazed all the nurses by walking around after only a day. She’s recouping well. Daddy’s helping out getting baby on a sleep schedule and helping mom with everything around the house. We’re thrilled and excited about our little one.
Thanks to our doula Gia, everyone who visited and called us at the hospital, left messages and emailed us, and thanks to the Kaiser staff who helped us get baby here happy and safe.
