Swarmy (the swarm army) was a concept started by Bob Bradley in 1994 where we got every guitar player we knew together for an improv freakout noise jam. There were many members who passed through in it’s brief day including Bob, Jen Haller, J.Lee, Derek Petrillo, Jefe Kolber and his cousin Tad (on percussion), Anton Newcombe, Jen Shagawat, Mallory Margueron and more I can not remember off the top of my head. The one gig we played at Starcleaners was quite a happening. The backline was jam packed full of amps and there were vintage guitars everywhere. It looked like Black Market Music for a while. After we demolished our ears for a while, we handed off our guitars to audience members who kept it going until Bob had enough and switched off the master power strip, shutting down all the amps. This recording is from an early Swarmy practice at Lennon Studios, SF with Bob, J., Jen H., Derek, Mallory, Jefe, and Tad. Thanks to Bob for recovering this tape from his vault.
