Q & A
How do you do it? What is the difference?
We take a very personal approach with each patient. We carefully listen to your concerns, and help you reach your goals at your own pace. Our number one focus is your success. While we all benefit from a whole-food multivitamin, our Specific Nutritional Therapy determines precisely which nutrients your body needs, and in which order. We guide you through your implementation phase of nutritional supplements and any necessary dietary modifications you make. To determine your specific needs, Dr. Gordon uses several tools that you may not be familiar with. They are: Nutrition Response Testing (NRT). Hair Mineral Analysis. And a Computerized diagnostic program.
What is NRT?
Nutrition Response Testing (NRT) is a way of analyzing the body’s nutritional needs by muscle testing your organs and then checking why there is a problem-heavy metal toxicity, chemical toxicity, food allergies, immune challenges and/or scars.
In today's modern society we are faced with many dietary dilemmas that, believe it or not, can adversely affect our health. Things such as food preservatives, meat from animals treated with antibiotics and fed chemical and denatured foods, pesticides, vegetables grown in depleted soil, other chemicals and steroids.
Additionally, it has been found that synthetic vitamins can actually cause nutritional deficiencies in other areas of your body. An example of this is Vitamin C. When you get Vitamin C in a store it is made from ascorbic acid, yet this Vitamin C is not complete and in order for it to work it must pull the rest of the Vitamin C complex from other areas in your body, further causing nutritional deficiencies.
NRT is used to test your body functions and through this sleep, digestive troubles, immune problems, etc. can be addressed with a unique nutritional program designed specifically for you.
What is a Hair Mineral Analysis?
Toxins present in the body embed in hair fiber proteins as it grows. Hair, unlike blood, has long-term memory. Much like the rings of a tree, human hair maintains a permanent record of nutrients and toxins introduced to the body.
A three-inch strand of human hair will give a six-month history of what's inside the body because head hair grows at a rate approximately one-half inch per month. This is a primary reason the hair analysis is used in forensic medicine for proof of death and by the National Parole Board for drug testing of Federal parolees.
Clinical research indicates levels of specific toxic elements often correlate with pathological disorders. For such elements, the levels in the hair provide a superior indication of body stores opposed to blood or urine specimens.
The key to an accurate hair analysis is in the interpretation - a lost art amid traditional medicine, yet a critical step in disease recovery.
I tried everything and lost hope. Can you help me?
Unfortunately, a large majority of the people have lost real hope for their condition. However, in most of these cases we have noticed that only one approach has been followed, which didn’t work.
The flip side of that are the people that have tried “everything” or the diets and detox plans “as seen on TV”. And they just can’t keep the weight off. Or they still need to take medicine just to get through the day. Our system, along with your action, takes care of these common pitfalls.
We all are different and have different life factors involved in our problems. If your health needs help, you will benefit from our experienced professional alternative guidance. People who are committed to the program and committed about improving their quality of life are exactly what we are looking for. And of course, have by far the best results.
How much does it cost?
The first exam is $120. You should plan to be in our office for about an hour.
The following visits are $30. Cost of any necessary supplements vary per person and are not included.
