Originally we had planned to drive PCH all the way to Carmel by the Sea, but due to time constraints we had to cut the drive short. We had to meet a group of Elisetalkers in Santa Clara by 6pm. I made one turn too early which had Doug doubting my antiquated GPS but we arrived in the area in time to meet everyone... save for the owner of the shop who didn’t show.
After dinner we journeyed to Union Square in San Francisco to find a place to stay. I’m a country boy at heart and really dislike driving about in strange cities where roads and pedestrians defy all common logic. But eventually we found a parking garage and a decent hotel and called it a night.
This morning I went on a little walkabout the block. We seem to be in the heart of a shopping district with many well-to-do retailers. Doug and I took a trolley to Fisherman’s Wharf, had lunch, and took a few pics of the locals and their accommodations.
