This is like the photo album of old times, just shared with more people around the world. I travel and like to take pictures and when Apple Macintosh developed a cheap and quite easy way to create integrated, advanced software for multimedia websites, I decided to give it a try.

I began this project in autumn 2007 and eventually it will gather photos taken over 25 years, with old film cameras for paper prints or slides and then scanned to appear here. The camera I use? Between 2001 and 2007 I used a Fujifilm digital camera Finepix 4900Zoom, and in autumn 2007 I bought a Canon EOS Kiss Digital X camera in Japan.

This is by no means an art photography site. I shoot, select and share with you. That’s all. Most of the images on this site have been processed, or enhanced, just a bit in Mac iPhoto or Photoshop.

As of April 2009, I have a new professional photo site at obergphotographics.com. It contains photos I print on fine art papers and sell. The pictures here can also be reproduced on paper.

How to view the pictures here?

In each series the pictures can be viewed one-by-one by clicking on them. Or you may press “slideshow” and they will move automatically & full-screen; but you must have Quicktime or something similar. If you don’t have it, you can download it for Mac and download here if you surf on a PC. Quicktime is very useful for many other purposes than just visiting this site.

On top of some of the series you may click under an image and listen to music I have selected just for that series - Oscar Peterson’s “Wheatland” above, for instance; also as my appreciation of this sublime musician who passed away in late 2007.
