Iraq 2002-2003
I did fact-finding in Iraq, two weeks in 2002 and two weeks in 2003 before the war started in March 2003. I call the series “Faces and Surfaces” and wonder how many of the good people you see here are still alive today. I know most of the buildings no longer exist.
Kyoto’s Zen Buddhist stone gardens, industrial Nagoya with its gems, a genuine Japanese restaurant, autumn’s colour beauty - and more...
Series by me from the capital Nuuk and its surroundings. More series from different places in Greenland by Gitte Arvegaard. A collaborative effort to convey the immense beauty of this continent.
Toscana’s soft landscape around Santa Luce, glimpses of the Biennale and of Venice.
Burundi 2006-2007
Come with me to a country of beauty and many problems. I’m trying to make Burundi more known to people. Because it needs - and deserves - the world’s support.
