Holy Eucharist
Sundays at 8.30 am
(with Sunday School)
Thursdays at 7.45 am

At St Peter’s the responsibility for the spiritual and the material welfare of the Parish is shared between the priest, the Churchwardens and the members of the Parish Council.
We celebrate the Eucharist together at 8.30 on Sunday mornings. We worship in the mainstream Anglican tradition and welcome all of the baptised to share Holy Communion with us.
Our small but active Sunday School also welcomes visitors and new members at 8.30 am. After taking Holy Communion anyone who wishes personal prayer or prayer for others should go to our Healing Ministry team in the sanctuary and there receive prayer, laying on of hands and anointing.
Our Parish actively supports the pastoral ministry of Fr Stephen Tabo at the Cairns Base Hospital.
Fr Barry, our priest can be contacted on barrypaterson@bigpond.com for further information.

Sacraments and Pastoral Care
The pastoral ministry of St Peter’s is intended to express the love of God in the midst of life’s difficulties. That can mean just being able to tell someone what you are going through. It may take a tangible form such as the bringing of meals when you are recovering from an illness, or bringing you flowers when you can’t get out.
At times, it is appropriate to extend sacramental ministry. This includes such ministries as: private confession and absolution, praying for and anointing of the sick for healing, bringing the Sacrament of Holy Communion, praying for the dying. Sacramental ministry is performed through ordained ministers such as our priest and through licensed lay ministers.
