Movie Reviews
One of my favorite things to do is go to Movies.

The Lucky One:
Loved the book, so that usually is a death knell for the movie. But, this wasn’t bad. But let’s be honest girls....we are all going to watch Zac Efron for 2 hours. That boy sure has come a long way from High School Musical!! Anyway, not a bad way to spend 2 hours...Just don’t expect a lot of great dialogue.

Mirror Mirror:
The first of 2 movies about Snow White. This one being the more “kid appropriate”. It was quite funny. Not usually a fan of Julia Roberts, but she didi a wonderful job as the Evil Queen. She was quite funny. Snow White was played by Lily Collins and I believe was cast perfectly. Gracie loved it. There were a few darker moments that she cringed for just a minute but didn’t bother her. All in all....a good movie.

Hunger Games:
I was so excited for this movie (so was Gracie). I have read the series twice so as usual, a bit skeptical of how the movie was going to be pulled off. The book as some quite violent and grisly scenes. I wondered how they would manage that in a PG-13 movie. They pulled it off brilliantly! The characters were developed nicely, you felt like you got to know them. The more violent scenes were done with some taste (other movies should take note). Enough so, that I ended up taking Gracie to see it. I just had her close her eyes in a few parts. The role of Katniss was cast so great! She was fabulous. Loved Lenny Kravitz as Cinna. The make-up and costumes of the “Capitol” people were wonderful. I wouldn’t have minded a different Peeta though.

The Lorax:
Fun movie with a few environmentalist overtones. (Not that Gracie understood that). Had great music.

21 Jump Street:
Bleeh! Go rent the original series instead.
