From blank wall to community celebration, here is a pictorial rendering of the 2007-08 project with Kidserve, and the muralist Josef Norris. 3rd grade students in Mrs. Strecker’s, Ms. Dowell’s and Mr.Selix’s class created the mural under Mr. Norris’s direction and in partnership with our sister project, two fourth grade groups at Bahia Vista Elementary in San Rafael City School District. Students built components in tile that appear in each other’s murals, and both groups participate in each other’s “unveilings.”  The mural depicts our local watershed, including all its key elements and most of the creatures who live there.  We are delighted with the results!
