
The Crane Paintings depict construction cranes as we most often see then; silhouetted against the sky. As ubiquitous in the 21st century as crosses atop churches were in an earlier time these shapes have a delicacy and balance at odds with their utilitarian design.

The Port Mann Drawings document the massive construction project of the new bridge spanning the Fraser River. With a distinctly nautical feeling the images honor the scale of the undertaking, and the unexpected beauty of the process saturated with light unique to the Pacific NorthWest.
