I have never really been into gardening - there were always other things that seemed more interesting. And we’ve never lived in a place that lent itself to the creativity of a green thumb, which suited me fine.
But for some reason I have a new craving for flowers. Once I decided that I must have something to adorn our tiny patio I couldn’t rest until my craving was satisfied.
Who knew how expensive flowers are? Good grief! Thankfully, petunias weren’t quite as pricey as some of the other decorative flora for sale at Home Depot. So we now have a hanging petunia cheering a very drab patio. I would never have guessed that one plant can do so much to beautify.
I love my petunia. When I return home my first thought is to check it. Does it need water? Are there dead blossoms to remove? Josh has decided it is my new pet. He should be grateful - animals are a lot more work...
