Delights and Shadows

The last few weeks have been all about our new house. Packing, cleaning, moving, cleaning, unpacking, cleaning, organizing, cleaning. I’ve come to terms with the fact that I am a compulsive unpacker/organizer. I can’t help myself. Life should not be allowed to continue when I am surrounded by dust, boxes and colors that would not have been my first choice. Fortunately my sister-in-law loves to paint and she and her hubby planned a trip to see us at the perfect moment. Here’s to you, Kari!
At last things are settling down and it feels like we really belong here. I am LOVING having MY OWN laundry area - no more wasting quarters or waiting until the laundry room is empty OR hanging up wet clothes all over the house. I have returned to civilization. The idea of doing a load of laundry whenever I want to makes me giddy.
So, take a look at some pics. There are so many things we want to do still and projects we have in mind, but I don’t mind you taking a look now, before those projects are completed...you know, years from now.
