The M.I.T. Wind Ensemble (under the direction of Fred Harris) premiered Jamshied’s “Awakening” on March 17, 2012 at Kresge Hall in Cambridge.  “Awakening” was composed to honor the events of the Arab Spring.  The three movements may be heard here, here, and here.

Jamshied recently completed the score for the third season of  On The Road In America, an unscripted documentary about four young Arabs traveling in the United States.  The show is currently airing in many Arab markets.

On April 8, 2008 Ceres Records released One, Jamshied Sharifi’s second solo recording.  It features the voices of Paula Cole, Sussan Deyhim, Abdoulaye Diabaté, Hassan Hakmoun, Yungchen Lhamo, and Vishal Vaid, and an outstanding group of instrumentalists.
