So, here we go then, the iPhone arrives on the 29th of June, 2007. After years of rumours, the American public finally get to see what Apple do after the iPod. Who wants one?

I do! But as far as I can figure out, there is no way that I’m going to get my hands on one til November (UK iPhone launch date) at the very earliest!

Yes, I know that’s the kind of thing that you American Nokia fans have had to put up with all this time, but at least you could always buy an unlocked version. Oh well, I’m sure that there will be plenty of user feedback on the web, and hopefully on this blog. If these most recent iPhone adverts are anything to go by, the iPhone experience is going to prove somewhat unique . . .

Ad No.1 ‘Never Been an iPod’
Check out the speed of the UI on this demonstration - if it’s just half that speed it’ll be a revelation.

Ad No.2 ‘How To’
The web experience just looks so nice, if the touch typing works as well as some suggest the iPhone could finally be the portable internet device that actually works.

Ad No.3 ‘Calamari’
In this advert you can see just how nice OSX (yes that’s a full desktop OS!) core animation services are, and how subtly they can be implemented. Look how the on screen buttons scatter and regroup, watch as the Goole Map placement pins drop into location. It’s all good stuff!http://www.apple.com/iphone/ads/ad1/http://www.apple.com/iphone/ads/ad2/http://www.apple.com/iphone/ads/ad3/shapeimage_1_link_0shapeimage_1_link_1shapeimage_1_link_2
