Sometimes the future creeps up on you slowly, other times it runs up and slaps you round the face with a sledgehammer! The N95 introduces you to the future using both methods in equal measure.

The UI for instance is really nothing more than a slight evolution of other N Series devices - a little slicker, a little more accomplished. The camera is also really just a refinement of the N73 and N93. The N95 ‘future slaps’, really come in the form of the broad range of abilities that the N95 posses, and in such a tiny box!

Consider gaming on the N95, sadly the only game that really shows how things might be by the end of 2007 is the System Rush demo. It looks and sounds much like an early PS2 game, the frame rate is acceptable and the detail more than enough for a game of this kind. But it really comes into it’s own when you connect it up to a TV and, for that extra games console experience, sync up to a wireless keyboard! It’s then that you start to realise that gaming via a mobile phone might actually be a viable option, even perhaps edging into Wii, Xbox and Playstation territory in the not too distant future.

Perhaps sometime in 2008 Nokia might ship a phone that comes with a wireless controller (just like the other games consoles), a TV out option capable of HD at 720p and broadband multiplayer all in one tiny box.

Anyway, enough chat, see for yourself!
