I had play on four new gadgets yesterday. The Nokia N800, the LG Prada phone, the Playstation 3 and the Apple iMac 24’. I’ll come back to the other devices in another post. But first I’d like to talk about the Nokia N800. It’s much nicer than I expected. The GUI was fast and efficient. I had found all the bundled apps (including the marvelous Mahjong) in under five minutes, everything just worked. Unfortunately the thing was locked down, both physically and virtually, it had no Net access (well, this is PC World we’re talking about here!), how stupid is that? I would have liked to have checked out a few flash games, tried out some Blip.tv movies and perhaps even test the camera. Oh well, another time I guess. Any N800 owners like to tell us about their experiences with the device.?
