Phone: Nokia N93 Sound Test
 
I wanted to demonstrate the rather amazing sound capturing abilities of the Nokia N93. The first file was captured in the early morning (just as the day was dawning!), you can hear bird song, the hum of traffic on the road about half a mile away and the noise of machinery firing up for the day. The second file was recorded entering the office, you’ll notice some wide stereo separation and good bass capture - listen out for doors opening, foot steps, photocopiers powering up and even and electrical thumps as power passes through the light switch! Because the N93 has no motorised moving parts, there is no unwanted buzzing that is very often present in tape camcorders. I recommend listening to this files (Quicktime AAC encoded) on a decent set of speakers or headphones. Laptop speakers will not give you the same experience. Click on the ears to download the files.
